It’s official, federally…. we’re listed on the Register!

January 9, 2010

We receieved notice that the National Park Service took action on Southwood Park’s National Register of Historic Places nomination on December 22, 2009. If you heard any “WOO-HOOs” and wondered what they were about, now you know.

So, it’s official, federally… we are listed as “historic” in the eyes of the government. In a way, this is just further emperical evidence that this is a great place to live!

So, thank you to the folks who worked hard on our nomination: Angie Quinn, Creager Smith, Don Orban, Mike Galbraith and Lori Graf. We appreciate your hard work!

We’re looking forward to hoisting those wonderful brown historic district signs this spring on a nice, warm day!
